Gyda ymddangosiad tîm pel-droed Cymru yng nghystadleuaeth Cwpan y Byd yn Qatar ar y gorwel braint oedd croesawu y canwr Cymraeg Dafydd Iwan i’r ysgol ar b’nawn Iau. Canodd Dafydd detholiad o’i ganeuon yn y neuadd a roedd ein disgyblion wrth eu boddau yn gwrando ar glasuron Dafydd gan gynnwys wrth gwrs Yma o Hyd. Daeth criw ffilmio i’r ysgol hefyd a bydd rhaglen am Dafydd Iwan ac Yma o Hyd ar S4C ym mis Tachwedd. Diolch i Mr Dave Driscoll am drefnu’r ymweliad.
With the appearance of the Welsh football team at the World Cup in Qatar on the horizon, it was a privilege to welcome the Welsh folk singer Dafydd Iwan to the school hall on Thursday afternoon. We were fortunate enough to be treated to a medley of Dafydd’s greatest hits including ‘Yma o Hyd’. We hope that our pupils were as inspired as were the members of our national football team after listening to Dafydds’ songs. A film crew was in attendance as they were recording a programme about Dafydd Iwan and the song ‘Yma o Hyd’ which will be on S4C in November. We would like to thank Mr Dave Driscoll for organising the visit.
