Derbyn Disgyblion i’r Ysgol
Cynigir lleoedd i ddisgyblion yn yr Ysgol yn ôl meini prawf Awdurdod Addysg Rhondda Cynon Taf a nodir yn y fersiwn diweddar o’u llyfryn “Dechrau Ysgol”. Trefnir y dosbarthiadau yn ôl oedran y plentyn. Nid oes sicrwydd y bydd carfannau o blant yn aros gyda’i gilydd o flwyddyn i flwyddyn wrth iddynt deithio i fyny’r ysgol. Ar adegau, bydd dosbarthiadau oedrannau cymysg yn yr ysgol. Yn gyffredinol, y plant hynny sy’n byw yn nhalgylch draddodiadol yr ysgol fydd yn cael cynnig lleoedd gyntaf. Dosberthir lleoedd drwy gymhwyso y meini prawf a ganlyn :
Os oes lleoedd ar gael, gall yr ysgol gynnig addysg llawn amser o ddechrau y tymor yn dilyn penblwydd y plentyn yn dair oed. Fel arall, gall plant tair oed a drosodd dderbyn addysg o’r Medi yn y flwyddyn academaidd pryd y byddant yn bedair oed.
Cedwir rhestr aros o enwau plant sydd yn dymuno lle yn yr ysgol, ac annogir rhieni i roi enw eu plentyn ar y rhestr hon mor fuan â phosibl ar ôl iddo/iddi gael ei eni/geni. Mae hyn yn helpu blaengynllunio ac yn galluogi’r ysgol i gysylltu â rhieni yn rhwydd wrth i amser dechrau’r ysgol agosau, ond nid yw’n sicrhau lle yn yr ysgol. Dim ond yr Awdurdod Lleol sydd â'r gallu i gynnig lle yn yr ysgol i ddisgybl.

Mae'r ysgol yn cynnig diwrnod llawn yn y Dosbarthiadau Meithrin eleni, 2022-2023. Ar hyn o bryd, nid oes penderfyniad ynghylch y ddarpariaeth fydd ar gael ar gyfer 2023-2024. Trafodir hyn wedi i ni dderbyn y gyllideb newydd fis Ebrill.

Admitting Pupils to School
Pupils are offered places at the School according to Rhondda Cynon Taf Education Authority’s admissions criteria as stated in the current version of their “Starting Schools” booklet. All classes are arranged strictly by date of birth. It is not guaranteed that cohorts of children will move up through the school, year on year, together. At times, we have mixed age classes at school. Generally, the children who live in the school’s traditional local area will be offered the available places first. Places will be allocated by applying the following criteria :
If places are available, the school may be able to offer full time education from the beginning of the term following the child’s third birthday. Otherwise, children aged three years and over usually access education from the September of the academic year they attain the age of four.
A waiting list of children wishing to have a place at the school is kept and parents are encouraged to place their child’s name on this list as soon as possible after he / she has been born. This helps with forward planning, enables the school to contact parents easily as the time to start school approaches, but does not guarantee a place at the school. Only the Local Authority has the ability to offer a place at school to any pupil.

School offers a full day Nursery provision currently in 2022-2023. At this moment, no final decision has been made in regards to the provision which will be available for 2023-2024. This is discussed annually following receipt of the new budget in April.
